When a horse works, he produces sweat as a natural cooling mechanism. However, this sweat contains not only water but important body salts. The more the horse sweats, the more salts are lost, ultimately leading to a fluid imbalance and dehydration, impairing the horse's performance and recovery. Under normal circumstances, the horse's requirement for salt will be met by forage, but horses in regular work, especially during the summer months, require additional electrolytes to maintain fitness. An endurance horse will lose more than 25lt of fluid and electrolytes through sweat in a day!

Think Drink Syrup is a unique molasses- based liquid electrolyte for mixing with feed, to help rehydrate horses following sweating. Providing high concentrations of sodium, chloride, potassium, calcium and magnesium with B vitamins to maintain appetite and support recovery after hard work. Recommended for all horses after heavy sweating, or may be fed daily during hot weather. Fresh water must be provided at all times when using electrolytes.
